You don’t need to be a qualified coach or star player, just be enthusiastic and passionate. Our projects are tailored to your needs and ability. It’s your gap year and your placement, so we will tailor your coaching to your needs and ability. I you wish to work with children in our grassroots and school coaching projects that's fine, or if you wish to get your teeth stuck into some tactics and skills development with the national team then we can plan the perfect gap year placement for you.
Have a look at the website to find out more, or drop one of our friendly sales team a message if you have any questions.
If you are looking for a gap year, one that will make a real difference, then Caribbean Coaching is for you. We are an award winning gap year organisation that works to develop sport in the Caribbean. Our volunteers coaches work in schools, local communities and with national teams to help develop and promote sport, making it accessible to all.
Volunteering for a Caribbean Coaching sports development project on your gap year or career break is not only a great way to travel, have fun, experience a new culture and improve your CV, but also to give something amazing back to children for whom sport is both a passion and a chance to improve their current situation.
Sport is a beautiful tool for both social and cultural change and development, bringing communities together and creating new and exciting opportunities for children and young people. A few of our successes to date are helping establish community rugby groups which led to children travel to the UK to play, providing coaches and support for a youth offenders sports program, organising the first ever youth tournament on the island, and the formation of an under 19’s rugby side which has been able to travel to a number of Caribbean Islands.
