Your netball coaching experience
Our netball placements give our volunteers the chance to work with a large number of children and young adults in a range of projects, schools and community groups. We work throughout the capital of St Lucia, Castries, as well as supporting a number of grassroots projects in the south of the island.
In our youth and community projects our aim is not only to develop basic skills but also to increase the enthusiasm, participation and enjoyment of the game. Here the emphasis is on fun! Netball is a fantastic mechanism for change and we try to use it with our at-risk young females to help empower them and improve their self-esteem.
You will also have the opportunity to work with our secondary schools projects. Here you will be working with teams who are preparing or competing in their competitive netball season. You will be working to develop certain skills, develop patterns and playing tactics, working on team building and seeing how far you can take your team. This is a fantastic opportunity to test your coaching and tactical knowledge.
We are also linked with some of the islands top senior teams which can give you the chance to play and compete during your stay.
